Art and Labor

Your laboring to your art is not your absolute credential but only, your reality to your art. I don't know why that took me so long to realize. It's not that I don't already know that, I just think that I have sort of sculpted, to myself, that hard work involves the sort of manual hands on doing of work and less concept driven. As much as I believe I know that, I've noticed that that disregard of "laboring is your reality to your work, not your absolute, end all" shows in my work. Wow. This took me way too long to realize. Things fall into place now.
