About the July 29th show

The July 29th All Acoustic Show was a Mom&Pop Wednesday delight! The Show raised $210, (technically $309 minus the venue cost $100, plus my added dollar to make it 10). This went to 826BOSTON. For anyone unaware, 826 is a nonprofit writing tutoring center in Roxbury, MA.

The venue's atmosphere was warm and inviting. The show included but was not limited to: acoustic guitars, guitars for your lap, cupcakes, singers, shains and seans, wild things, artwork, a deer, dogs, veggie bus, blues spittin' man, moneys, blood, brownies, swigs, surprises, sing-a-longs, Elvis songs, jams, reunions, new songs, suit-case drums, not art, new tattoos, old faces, new face, new friends, talent, recordings and big huge smiles!

The acts playing were great. Although, the PA system required a much needed new electrical something or other. The PA started to grow on a personality because the cutting out of the mic alerted anyone singing to just go with it. Towards the end of the night, people were catching midnight buses or trains home. The last band moved the mics aside to have a more personal musical interaction with the 10 or so of us taking the rest of the night in.

It was a warm experience of sharing a night of friends, family and enjoying music together. I'm glad how the show unfolded and was neatly put back together. I can't wait for the next one.

Here some links to all the grandiose people/groups contributing to/for from that night:
