A Whole New Recap

So I've finished Daniel Pink's Book numerous times this summer and I do not have the book in front of me to branch out to the last 2 Chapters of the book including Play and Meaning. Pink's fresh outlook says to me to travel outside of his reading. I'm glad I could follow each chapter slowly over the summer. Through the process of art making I am always waiting for the, "light bulb" moment. I think Pink tries to convey using new methods of thinking to find your "light bulb" moments and make those moments happen more frequent with all the methods of thinking. His methods also blend into non-artistic endeavors. I've really love the idea of a laughing Club. The ability to laugh is like our natural ice breakers in interaction and is the perfect gateway to comfort.
Through reading "A Whole New Mind" I have been awakened to thoughts outside of my norm. I've learned to question my life and include every sense to solve problems or help others. I like the idea of teaching because you can wiretap into students and help them find their strengths. Pink has a few videos posted on youtube. He explains 3 things that make a speech throughly effective ("brevity, levity and repetion"). I enjoyed hearing this and it replays in my thinking. I am glad to own this book and have it in my possession to reflect back.
